New legislation governing the Alternative dispute resolution (ADR) was adopted in February 2016 in Slovakia and offers a simple, fast and low-cost solution to disputes arising between consumers and traders outside of the regular court system.
An alternative dispute resolution procedure can be initiated only by consumers. As no financial threshold and limits are applied, a consumer dispute of any kind can be brought before the authorities. These dispute resolutions are free of charge for both parties, only the costs of legal representation must be borne by the parties themselves.
Peter Compel, CAG member for the Czech Republic, developed together with Kamar sofware a new application for law firms in CZ and SK. This program helps law firms with time-sheets, monthly billing and invoicing. Once ENG version is prepared, the interested CAG members will evaluate the possible use of this program in other CAG member countries.
This application is the first commercial project within the CAG network.
